This is the final painting. I'm very happy with it. I decided that having washed the reflection out left it a bit insipid so I reapplied the same colours and softened the edges too. Removing the mask has left some bright light reflections in the water. I think it creates interest and spark to painting. This is the sort of forward planning needed with watercolour. I think this is a painting to be proud of. I suspect it took me 40-50 hours from blank paper to finished painting. Very rewarding!
